We will be conducting a series of controlled experiments.

    1. How far does a ‘superball’ bounce off various surfaces?
    2. Which mixtures dissolves Gummy Bears the quickest?
    3. Which mixture cleans coins the best?

    For each experiment the students will be writing hypotheses, designing the procedures and recording the data as the teacher is conducting the experiments. The data will be analysed and presented in the form of graphs.

    Now that we’ve gotten to know each other, it’s time to get down to business! This week, we will be learning how to spell words with closed syllables and identify nouns and verbs. We will also be discussing sentences structure and what makes a sentences declarative, interrogative or imperative.

    Students will be learning about the role of meteorologists and how weather is predicted. Students will be predicting the weather for Chiang Mai by using an origami predictor which will be assembled during class. At the end of the week the students will analyse the results of their predictions versus the actual weather and the weather forecast.
